Deanna Cross has been involved in the interior decoration field since 1970 when she co-founded "The General Store" in Toronto. This venture was a unique and popular retail shop, which included a design studio and custom workroom.
In 1980 Deanna joined the prestigious interior design firm of Dirstein Robertson Ltd., Toronto,
and until 1987 was closely involved in all aspects of design and installation of major projects for residential clients in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Short Hills, New Jersey, and Palm beach, Florida, Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
In 1987 Deanna established her design practice as "Celia Cross & Company", and as well as serving her own clientele, has worked on a consulting basis with other interior design firms. Her clients in Toronto have included "The Paul King Hair Salon" on Yorkville Avenue, many new homeowners, and numerous full-scale renovations for others.
During this period, Deanna's residence in Toronto was featured in "Canadian House and Home" magazine (April 1990).
